The Association for the Study of Sport and the European Union (Sport&EU) is organising its 5th annual conference "The challenges of sport governance", to be held at Ghent University (Belgium) on the 1st and 2nd July 2010, coinciding with the Belgian presidency of the European Union and in collaboration with Ghent University (Department of Sociology), Lougborough University (Centre for the Study of International Governance) and the Flemish Government (Department of Culture, Youth, Sports and Media).

Belgian Presidency label - Wednesday, May 12, 2010

We have the honour to announce that our conference has been awarded the Belgian Presidency label. Some of the criteria that projects had to meet to obtain the label were that (i) events must take place during the six-month Belgian Presidency of the Council of the European Union and (ii) have a connection with the EU or the priorities of the Belgian Presidency.
Together with other projects, the 5th annual Sport & EU conference has been awarded the Belgian Presidency label from more than 300 applications!!
